Whirling Disease Foundation and TU Merge

Trout Unlimited (TU) and the Whirling Disease Foundation (WDF) announced plans to formally merge the two organizations in an effort to combat the growing problem of aquatic nuisance species and their effect on the nation’s trout and salmon.

The Fishing is Getting Good But....

We got some nice soaking rains the first part of the week and my local rivers have good flows, which is a relief. It should be perfect fall fishing by this weekend: tossing streamers to aggressive, brightly colored brook trout. Unfortunately I won't be able to hit any of it. Why?

I'll be in Denver for the Fly Fishing Retailer Show. Hey, somebody has to go and check out the latest gear and see what's new in the industry. I'll also be posting from Denver with some quick updates on new products and developments. It's always a good time but when I come back...it's all about brook trout.
